The Philadelphia Nanny Network, Inc. employs Placement Counselors and
a Recruiter to work with the nannies and the families through the hiring
process. They also actively screen nanny candidates to assure only the
best are referred to families. Placement Assistants are involved in nanny
recruiting and helping families through the hiring process. The clerical
staff provides support in the administrative functions of the office.
The Philadelphia Nanny Network, Inc. has been in existence since 1985,
a time when there were few agencies in the business. TPNN began at a
time when many women in the workforce wanted to keep their careers moving
forward while also raising a family. The key was to find a qualified
adult who could be home with the children during the work day. Moving
to fill this void, Wendy Sachs founded the agency and set about educating
the public about the nanny profession while helping parents through the
process of finding high caliber in-home child care. Growing the business
from a local level, Sachs pioneered the idea of the national recruiting
effort, while developing the screening process that is now used in agencies
across the country. She has continued to refine this screening process
at TPNN.
