Full Time Job in Center City (UL31)
Family relocating to Philadelphia (Old City area) is seeking a nanny to care for their two children aged 2 years old and 10 months old.  The schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, 40 hours per week.  There will be rare occasions when the nanny may need to shift the day to work 9am-5pm, up to 1 time a month, always planned in advanced.  On a rare occasion, because of work commitments conflicting for both parents, they may need an extra hour worked.  This would be known at least 1 day ahead of time.  Both parents work full time. Mother works outside of the home.  Dad works from a home office, (separate room with closed door) about 3 days per week, commutes to Washington DC the other 2 days. They currently have a nanny who has been with them since the oldest was a baby.  She isn't able to relocate with them, though the relationship has been very successful.  This job is very child centric.  Duties include engaging the children in activities and playing all day, children's laundry, and children's meals.  They will be moving to Center City, Old City initially for 4-5 months and then moving to either another Center City location or a suburb, very close to the city. This means the nanny does not need a car initially for this job but ultimately, when they move again, may need to drive to the job depending on where they settle in 4-5 months. There is NOT any parking in the Old City location, unless the nanny wants to pay for her own garage pass. The nanny best for the job is someone who is full of energy, and has solid experience with infants and toddlers.  In addition to $16.50- $18.50 per hour gross salary ($660-$740/week BEFORE TAXES) depending on background and experience, the nanny will receive 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week at the family's choosing and 1 week at the nanny's choosing), 5 paid sick days, and major holidays paid. The ideal start date is Monday October 6.

Full Time Nanny Needed-Must Love Toddlers and Travel! (A1)
Full time working parents in Newtown Square need a full time nanny to care for an 18 month old child.  The schedule is 45 hours per week, Monday- Friday 8a-5pm.  The hours may shift slightly on occasion when the parents have a business meeting or out of town travel.  They own their own business and work together in a home office in the lower level of the home, away from where the nanny and child would be spending time.  This is a serious busy business, so they need a nanny who can handle the job as if they were away from the home!  The nanny best for the job is one who loves to travel!  They need a nanny who will travel with them to New Orleans, Chicago, California.  All expenses including airfare, hotel room and food are paid. The travel is typically 1-4 overnights at a time about once per month.  It varies.  If they need the nanny to travel on a Sunday, then the nanny will have the following Friday off. They want a nanny to know she will always only work 5 days per week! While traveling, the schedule will remain the same, except if they have a dinner meeting.  In that case, they will give the nanny off during the day to relax or have a spa treatment (the family pays!).  They own spas in the hotels where you will be traveling so you will return to the same spots and get to know them well.  The nanny best for the position is someone who can make good food choices for the child, has a happy disposition, loves to travel, has good communication skills, and is first aid and CPR certified (or can get it!).  In addition to engaging the child in age appropriate activities, duties include driving the child (nanny will use her own car and be reimbursed for gas or use the employer's car), tidy the common areas, run/empty dishwasher, child’s laundry, and child's meals.  The job is very child centric.  Nanny will be given a membership to the Y that she can use to take the child for activities and use on her time off. In addition to $35,000-45,000 per year salary ($673-$865/week BEFORE TAXES) depending on background and experience, the nanny will receive 2 weeks paid vacation, 5 paid sick days, major holidays and health insurance (50% paid by employer, 50% paid by employee), Y membership and free spa treatments in Philadelphia and when traveling.  Ideal start is by August 18, only if possible!

Live-in or Live-out Nanny for 4 Children! (AC23)
Family in Wayne is looking for a nanny who loves to be busy!  This is a full time job, 50 hours per week, helping to care for 4 school aged kids, 14, 12, 10, and 6 years old. Nannies who have worked for this family previously have all said the kids are polite, fun, active and a delight! This job would be a teamwork approach with an at home mom.  The schedule would be Monday-Friday with Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12 noon-8pm and Tuesday and Friday 7am-7/7:30pm, for a total of 50 hours per week.  During the summer, the hours vary because they spend 2 months at their beach house in NJ where the nanny would live in and have her own room.  Also, it would be important for the nanny to be able to stay overnight with the kids 1-2 times per year.  The nanny best for the job is one who can assist the mother in all aspects of their busy lives. They need a nanny to start anytime in August but no later than September 2. Oh, and they may get a puppy!  Must love dogs!

Full Charge Nanny Needed (OU6)
Two doctor parents relocating from the Midwest to Ambler area need to hire a nanny to care for their newborn baby, due April 9!  The job can be live in or live out.  The schedule is Monday-Friday 6:30am-6:00pm, though there are days when mom may get home a little earlier.  The nanny's schedule will shadow the mother's schedule.  Since both parents are starting new positions in the Philadelphia area, they cannot know what is typical until they start the job.  Mom will be going back to work after maternity leave in July.  They need the nanny to start by June 30th.  Because they are both doctors there may be an occasion where the nanny will have to "on-call" if they are both scheduled to be on call the same night, though they will try in every way to avoid that conflict. In addition to engaging the child in age appropriate activities, duties include driving the child when as he/she gets a little older (nanny will use her own car and be reimbursed for gas), tidy the common areas, run/empty dishwasher, child’s laundry, child's meals, assist with some of the parent's laundry when possible.  The position is very child centric.  Qualifications they seek include experience with infants, and in home care experience.  In addition to salary up to $960 per week before taxes depending on experience, the nanny will receive 28 days of paid vacation/sick days, and major holidays, Xmas, and New Year's Day, all other major holidays as long as both parents do not have to work.- Nanny Hired!

Nanny Needed in Villanova (OR44)
Family in Villanova needs to hire a nanny to care for a 7 and 4 year old.  The schedule is Tuesday - Friday until September and then will go to Monday-Friday.  If the nanny wants to start the Monday schedule immediately, the parents will accommodate that and start those hours sooner.  The specifics are as follows: Monday 1pm-4pm, (start September) Tuesday and Wednesday 11:30am-6pm (alternative can be 1pm-6pm on these days as long as nanny is willing to be available at 11:30am on days when the kids are off from school), Thursday and Friday 7am-6pm.  There may be planned ahead times they need the nanny to be flexible to stay to 7-7:30pm. (Nanny will be paid for the extra time worked)  This is because the father, who is usually home to relive the nanny, has an evening business commitment and the nanny needs to wait for the mom to arrive home. The guarantee number of hours per week is 35 hours without the Monday and 39 hours with the Monday.  (Subtract from the guarantee, 3 hours if Nanny wants to start at 1pm, 2 days per week). In addition to engaging the children in age appropriate activities, duties include driving the children (nanny will use her own car and be reimbursed for gas), tidy the common areas, run/empty dishwasher, children’s laundry, parents do their own laundry, though there may be towels and PJs thrown in, children's meals, dinner prep (nanny can plan the menu or mom will plan the menu, it is up to the nanny), help with homework, run errands, grocery shop (cash will be given to carry out those duties).  The nanny perfect for the job is someone who can build a rapport with the kids and understand the stage of development of kids as they are starting into school and already immersed into elementary school.  Someone who enjoys grocery shopping, and cooking dinner is a plus, though the mom can give the nanny recipes to make a very simple meal.  It can be as basic as whatever is made for the children, extra is made that parents eat when they arrive home later.  The parents want to hire a nanny who can create a loving and engaged environment for the children, enriching their lives.  In addition to salary $15-20 per hour depending on experience, the nanny will receive 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week unpaid vacation, all to be taken when family takes their time off (all planned ahead), and major holidays paid when it lands on a work day. Nanny/Family Assistant Position with School Aged Children-Must Speak French or Spanish(L77)
Family in Chestnut Hill seeks full time Nanny/Family Assistant to care for 2 girls 10 and 7 years old, Monday - Friday 7am-5:30pm.  Both parents work full time outside of the home, though, father may be working from a home office, a study off of his bedroom room, 1-2 days per week.  Sometimes, Mom travels internationally for work, leaving Monday and returning Friday afternoon, though not every week.  The nanny’s day starts making breakfast and packing lunches, then out the door to get the girls to school, nearby.  After school pick up, nanny would help with homework and assist the girls to get ready for activities such as soccer and ballet, which the parents take them to after 5:30pm.  When school is out, nanny would use the city as her playground, taking the kids to the Arden Theater, Franklin Institute, Barnes Museum, the Zoo and local restaurants. Full Time Nanny Needed until September (L30)
Family living in Bryn Mawr needs a full time nanny to start immediately and work until September 2014.  Care is for a 5 month old baby Monday-Friday 8:30a-5:30p, 45 hours per week.  There is another child in the home, an 11 year old boy with autism.  He is very social and likes people around.  While full care of him is NOT part of the job, the nanny must feel comfortable with him around after school.  He has a nanny in the afternoons and the mother and father take him to activities.  Nevertheless, the nanny needs to understand that he will come into the room to sit with the nanny and the baby as he is very social and drawn to others in the home.  The nanny best for the job is one who is comfortable with a special needs child in the home, has extensive baby experience and the ability to teach the mother about caring for infants.  Because of the older child's medical condition, care for him as a baby was different than for the new baby and mom would like to learn from the nanny what she didn’t get to learn the last go around.  Even the parenting approach will be different for the baby than for the older son.  Both parents work full time, with their offices in the home.  They have set up their work life this way because of their special needs son.  They were told, from his very early age, that their presence for him would help him to thrive.  As a result, they have had home offices all these years  The father stays ‘locked in his office” and comes out only when the son is home from school and he has to take him to activities.  The mom will be a little more in and out with the baby around, though she said that she does not want to get in the way of the nanny.  The nanny is in charge of the baby and the baby’s activities and care.  If there are things Mom can learn from the nanny during that time, she wants to take advantage of that opportunity.  Duties include keeping the baby’s room organized, her laundry, filling the diaper carrier, thinking ahead and anticipating needs such as bottles washed, diaper pail emptied, clean toys.  The parents are drawn to some of the concepts in RIE method and would love a nanny who is interested in learning about it and using some of the principles.  Nanny best for the job is one who is highly energetic, has a background in education or psychology (know about RIE method?), is vibrant and fun, really into her job, a self starter. This job is a commitment until the baby can go to day care in September.  The nanny will be guarantee weekly pay, will receive paid holidays for the major holidays that land within that time frame. Status-Hired!

Care for Twins, Monday-Thursday (L19)
Family in Media, PA needs a full time nanny for 3.5 year old, very active twins.  Parents are seeking proactive nanny who will spend the days engaging the kids in a variety of activities in the home and outside of the home.  The schedule is Monday 12 noon-5pm Tuesday-Thursday 7a-6p.  Fridays are off!  The hours total 38 hours per week.  1-2 times per month the mom may have a later evening and would need nanny to stay.  Nanny would be paid $20 per hour for those extra hours.  Also, less than a handful of times per year, Mom will switch Friday with another day because of work meetings.  This is always planned in advance.  The mom works from home one day per week (Mondays), staying tucked in her office the entire day and commutes to her office outside of the home the other days.  In addition to engaging the children in age appropriate activities, duties include driving the children (nanny will use her own car and be reimbursed for gas), tidy the common areas, run/empty dishwasher, children’s ironing and laundry, children's meals, and, let the dogs out.  They have 2 Boston Terriers.  A dog walker comes to walk them but it would be great if the nanny would let the dogs in and out.  The parents want to hire a nanny who has experience as a nanny.  Experience with twins or at least multiple children is a plus.  One of the twins has been diagnosed with a very mild autism which is manifested in a slower speech development.  Setting expectations for transitions is very important for this child.  That’s also one of the reasons why when mom works from home she stays tucked away in her office so as not to spring on any surprises on the little boy.  In addition to top salary paid to nanny after taxes, ($22-24/hour gross before taxes),  they offer 2 weeks paid vacation (one at nanny’s choice, one at family’s choice) and paid major holidays including MLK and President’s Day. Status-Hired!

Family needs FT Nanny for 9 Months, 45 hours per week (O31)
Family living in Bryn Mawr needs a full time nanny to start by January 2, 2014 and work for 9 months.  Care is for a 3 month old baby Monday-Friday 8:30a-5:30p, 45 hours per week. The nanny best for the job is one who has some experience with special needs, just to understand the workings of a household with an autistic child, extensive baby experience and the ability to teach the mother about caring for infants. If there are things she can learn from the nanny during that time, she wants to take advantage of that opportunity.  This job is a 9 month commitment until the baby can go to day care.  The nanny will be guarantee 9 months of pay, will receive paid holidays for the major holidays that land within that 9 month period.-Hired!

Live in Job in Bryn Mawr (UB25)
Live in nanny needed to care is for a 7-year-old child.  The parents are divorced, the nanny will be based in the family home with the father and child but also work in the mother's home, 5 minutes away. Custody is amicable.  This position requires at least a several-year commitment; they hope to hire a long term nanny.  Their current nanny has been with them for 2.5 years.  She is leaving to have a baby of her own!

Duties revolve around caring for child, her meals, her transportation, help with errands/shopping as well as assisting with care of the family pets--2 adorable Labrador retrievers!  The schedule is 7 days per week, though from Tuesday morning until Thursday after school, the time commitment is very light (only a few hours over that time period). The father travels for business during the week which will require the nanny to be flexible.  The focus of the job is child care and other child related duties are done either with child or when the child is in school.  In addition, when the child is home, you are expected to provide 24-hour care, so if she needs something in the night, you would be responding.

This job is for someone who can be adaptable and flexible, someone who is energetic, young in spirit and someone who can hit the ground running.  A strong personality is needed in this job because the little girl is very assertive and the nanny needs to be able to not be intimidated by the father.  The father is “high powered” but very generous and hears what the nanny has to say.  Because of the need to be available and flexible it is difficult to plan ahead for your own life, though with notice, the father will accommodate important events and engagements that the nanny would need.  The salary is double + for what is typical nanny salary.  Part of the reason the salary is so high is that the father realizes that the nanny gives up on the aspect of planning ahead in her personal life.   In recognition of that, he is making to worth their while money-wise.  The idea is that you do the job a few years and sock away a ton of savings!!

There is a house manager and a housekeeper, both of whom can care for the dogs, if the nanny didn’t want to do that.  Currently the nanny does the dog care because she likes the dogs!  All errands that need to be done are the ones regarding the child.  The current nanny will sometimes do them with the child and sometimes not.

Preferred credentials would be a degree in education and a person who leads a healthy, active lifestyle.  Must know about cooking fresh nutritious foods! There is a car available for the nanny to use.-Hired!
