Elisha is a new graduate with a Psychology degree. The studying doesn't stop because she was just accepted into a special 1-year program to gain special training to work with autistic children. Her plan is to eventually get her masters in Occupational Therapy. She has extensive babysitting experience with children of all ages, including multiples. She also has a variety of volunteer experience with reading programs, visiting and engaging patients at a local hospital, fundraising and outreach to aide domestic abuse victims, and helping rebuild in New Orleans Summer 2009. She was also very active in her college's drama department. And if this nanny has not been active enough, she also studied abroad in Jerusalem! This nanny's efforts to care for others and learn are endless and would be a great role model.
Gale is interested in working as a full time housekeeper or nanny - she's done both and comes highly recommended. Whatever she does, she just wants to keep working with families! She's originally from Trinidad and has been in the US for 10 years. She's worked with children of all ages. Her references say she is really a "go with the flow" type of person - doesn't get flustered if the routine has to change or she has to think on her feet. They also say she is incredibly intelligent and it shows in her approach, how she organizes the family and interacts with the children. The children love how much fun Gale is, taking them to the park to play or just playing games or cooking - everybody is happy when Gale is around! She keeps everybody's lives running smoothly. It also doesn't hurt that she's an amazing cook!
Elsa has 10 years of childcare experience. She is originally from the Republic of Georgia (came to the US in 1991). In her country, she went to college for Producing/TV and Radio Journalism. When she came to the US she began teaching language at UPenn's Language Center and also worked as an Administrative Assistant. She has actually worked for TPNN families in the past. She comes highly recommended. She recently had a full time schedule by fitting 3 different part time jobs together. Her experience ranges from newborn and up, including twin experience. She is noted for her enthusiasm, her "love of life," says one reference. She shares it with the children, makes everything fun and is truly happy to be with children, say her references. They also say she is incredibly active and treats the children as if they are her own. Two of her three currently employers are putting their children in school and she really needs to work full time. She loves to take her charges on outings, play dates, story time and all sorts of activities-she just loves to interact with them. She also loves to share her love of hiking and reading with her charges.
Olivia was a full time nanny for 10 years before she started raising her own family full time. Now that her children are getting old enough for school she is anxious to return to the field she loves! She hopes to finish her Early Childhood Education degree as well to continue her professional development (she already has significant coursework. She is loved by her references for her leadership and her instinctual way of knowing how to meet their family's needs. She can't wait to do the same for her next employer.
P.J. emigrated to the US in the late 70s. She taught herself English and learned a trade to support her children. She eventually was able to own her own market. Between running her own business and helping other refugees assimilate to their new lives in the US, she found that she was spread too thin and wanted to be present more to her children. She sold her business and became a nanny. Her refs say that she is "very special"-working hard to raise 4 successful children by herself in the US, overcoming much adversity. As one reference put it, P.J. "turns lemons into lemonade." Another reference says, "there is much to be learned from her! Not only has she taken great care of our children but she has provided them with life lessons along the way." Call us right away to meet this special person.
Ivy is originally from Mexico and came to the US many years ago (became US citizen in 2008). She currently works full time as a Youth & Family Director for a major organization where she's worked for 5 years. She would love to work more on a 1 on 1 setting, since right now she works with over 200 children! In the past she has held daycare and even had a live in nanny position. In her free time she volunteers to plan camps and field trips for children with cancer, and also helped institute a scholarship program for disadvantaged children living in rural settings. Want to introduce your child to Spanish? Nanny is fluent and would love to help your child learn.
Debra's current position is ending because the children are all going to school. She has been a professional nanny for the past 5 years with children ages 1 year and up. Her families love the values they teach their children while always having fun! She is said to be patient and accommodating. Originally from Morocco, Debra came to the US in 2003. She is CPR-certified, an excellent swimmer, a great driving record and fluent in French.
Lena just finished a 2-year position that started when the children were a newborn and preschooler. Now youngest child is going to preschool as well and Lena is looking for a new position, and hopes to work 20-35 hours per week. She is originally from Poland where she earned a degrees in Philosophy and Library Science. She came to the US in 2006 as an au pair to improve her English and worked with a newborn. She decided to stay and her references are glad she did! They say she is smart, attentive and responsible.
Shana has been teaching children (ages preK through 8th grade) for the past seven years and would love the opportunity to work with children on a more one on one basis. She is incredibly creative and talented -she graduated from the Art Institute with a degree in Film/Video, is a singer/songwriter, paints and makes jewelry. She is not limited to these subjects, and in fact, tutors in all subjects through after school programs. Shana is also a great cook, especially loves to cook healthy meals and to top it off, does organizing projects for a few families on her own. Shana can definitely do it all!
Erica is originally from Columbia and came to the US in 2006 as an au pair. In her country of origin she worked in a preschool before establishing her career in Marketing. Her ultimate goal is to return to school but while attending classes on weekends, she has worked as a nanny for two different families since she came to the US. Aside from caring for the children she is no stranger to helping out with errands, cooking, laundry and even pet care. The children from her most recent family have grown older so they no longer need a full time nanny. She would love to find another family to work for on a full time basis.
Patricia's full time position is now on Wednesdays and Thursdays since her employer is now working part time. She would love to stay with her current family and add on another job for Monday, Tuesday and Friday. She's a non-driver so would need a position where there were no driving responsibilities and home is public transportation accessible. Her references say it has never been a problem, Patricia walks everywhere - even likes to walk in the snow! She is known for her dependability, trustworthiness (last family trusted her to use blank checks) and loving disposition. Patricia has worked with children of all ages and stages, from bottle feeding and diapers, to potty training, to fun and educational outings for older children. She is ready to begin a position immediately, but is doing temporary babysitting for TPNN while she waits for the right position (and doing a great job).
Melah has already become a highly requested temp nanny for the agency, but is ultimately looking for a full time position. She recently moved back to the Philadelphia area. She has experience with children ages newborn and up. Her references speak of her trustworthiness, reliability and her ability to form meaningful connection with her employers and their children. She has "such a good heart," says one of her references. Her hobbies include reading, sports, swimming and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to finding a permanent full time position!
