Alexis is originally from TN, but has traveled far and wide during her career as a nanny. Currently she is with a family in GA, but is ready to move to Philadelphia to be near friends and relatives in this area. She started her career 10 years ago and her references loved the way she kept all the moving parts of their household in order and running smoothly! Most important her charges loved her - ranging in ages from newborn through 14 years! This is definitely a nanny who can grow and adjust with her family.
Nicole is a career nanny since the late 90s. She worked for her last family for 8 years until the children were in school full time. Nicole is eager to find her next full time position. She is loved by her employers not only because of her skill as a childcare provider but because of her kind nature and the initiative she takes. Nicole is certainly one to go the extra mile whether it be housekeeping or researching age-appropriate activities to do with the children and creating a calendar! Nicole is known for her flexibility, which has helped several of her family's when they've been running late or just needed an extra evening or weekend day here or there. One parent said their favorite thing about Nicole is how much their children love her - her daughter always ran to the window when Nicole left for the day, blowing her kisses!
Betty's been a Newborn Care Specialist for the past 30 years and enjoys it to the fullest! She's worked with many different situations such as NICU newborns, micropremies, bradies, triplets and colicky babies and many more. She's worked for high profile families and gets 90% of her jobs from word of mouth referrals. Betty got into this business because her son was born with a mild form of autism. When she was a young mom at home she thought how great it would have been to have someone to help her when she brought her son home and decided that is exactly what she wanted to do for other moms. She began immediately taking classes and has enjoyed her chosen profession ever since!
Joy is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and most recently the Restaurant School. She is looking to supplement her own list of personal chef clients. Joy can prepare food in her own kitchen or in yours. Aside from providing everyday meals for families, she can also cook for events like weddings or large parties. Her specialties are Chinese, French and Southern cuisine and is also skilled with vegetarian menus. Joy is also happy to do the menu planning and food shopping-she is good with a budget. Food allergies are no problem for her either! In the past she was a Food Stylist at QVC, and in her spare time volunteers for a non-profit giving children cooking lessons in an afterschool program.
My current position is ending soon (my employer will now be staying at home with her children) so I am looking forward to starting the New Year with a new family. I am currently seeking a full time live in position.
I've had both live in and live out positions, both full time and part time. I once ran my own in home daycare. My approach to childcare is centered on turning everyday play into a learning experience. For example, why just play with a train set; why not use our imagination to build one of our own? I also believe in stimulating a child's intellect through reading and it would not be unusual to find my charges sprawled out on a blanket under the sun, immersed in a great story I am reading with them.
I am energetic and active, so being interactive and involved with the children I care for is very important to me. Though focus on the children is my #1 priority, I am great at multitasking. I am no stranger to light housekeeping and laundry as long as it does not diminish my role as a caregiver. I have helped all of my families with these tasks, and my references say they appreciate that I often take the initiative to do them (even when not asked) to keep the household running smoothly. And, I am comfortable driving the kids, just furnish a car or reimburse me for gas and wear and tear on my car.
In terms of age groups, I have worked with children of all ages, newborn through teens, all genders - even multiples. No matter what the age all of my references agree that their children know that they are loved and cherished by me.
Stella's current family's needs are changing and her job is coming to an end in the next month. She is looking to share her extensive childcare experience with another loving family! She has experience with children of all ages - even teens, multiples and special needs children. One of her families had 5 children altogether, another had 4 children. She is quite adept at juggling a lot! She is hands on, organized, reliable, and good natured. Her families love how she uses her imagination when engaging the children and encourages them to do the same.
Cecilia came to the US from Haiti in the early 1980s where she ran her own bakery business. She worked as a nursing assistant to support herself and her 3 children. As the years passed by she began once again gravitating towards a means of running her own business, picking up housekeeping clients. Now that the children are all grown she is now ready to focus exclusively on building her own housekeeping clientele. Cecilia's clients depend on her to do complete cleaning, including rugs, hardwood floors, oriental rugs, caring for antiques and artwork. She is happy to run errands or do grocery shopping. She doesn't mind using her bakery expertise either if a family needs pastries, cakes or pies, especially for special occasions! Cecilia is looking to add clients who need help 1 or more days per week (or every other week).
Lynn fell in love with nannying while putting herself through college by providing live out childcare. Rather than follow her anticipated path of teaching history, she pursued a career as a professional nanny and has been doing so for the past 20 years! Marie B. is looking to work part time around her school schedule. She's currently working on her Masters in Social Work at Penn and has a very interesting background in childcare. Not only does she have extensive babysitting experience, she was also a child abuse investigator, advocating for children in very serious situations - was on call in case of emergencies. Marie also worked with a mentoring organization, facilitating relationships between volunteers and youth, as well as an educational group especially for the mentees to explore their relationship with their mentor. She taught a course about positive parenting (e.g., alternatives to physical discipline, coping skills and many other topics) to adults seeking to become Foster Parents. Nanny is passionate and knowledgeable about children and family dynamics overall, and her references rave about her abilities. She's available everyday except for Thursday and Friday mornings.
Dee recently got a part time job with a TPNN family and is looking forward to working with another family to supplement her schedule. She has been doing childcare for nearly 20 years and has worked with children of all ages. The families who brought their children to her daycare rave about her, particularly how she cared for the kids as if they were her own. Dee herself is a mom of 7 kids, including multiples!
Lisa, originally from the Philippines, got her start in childcare while working for royalty! She has worked with children of all ages, and even has special needs experience. She can always be depended on to keep the household running as well and is very organized.
Christy has a lot of talents to share with your family! She has a degree in Elementary Education, and though she is a great teacher, loves to work with families in the home. She is a certified lifeguard so great to take the kids to the pool! She also plays piano and is learning guitar - maybe she and the kids can have a jam session! She has worked with children ages 6 months and up, and her references love her cheerful and sweet spirit, and how she relates to the children on their level.
Maureen has over 20 years of childcare experience, and has history with TPNN clients going back to 2003. She has held temporary and full time positions with the agency, and before that has worked for many families on her own as well as in daycare settings. There is not an age group that Maureen has not worked with! Her references love her vivacious personality and what a natural she is with children...and their parents as well! It was unanimous among her references (and we have a lot) - a family would be lucky to have Maureen!
Ashley is currently studying Elementary Education and wants to be a teacher someday! She has families on her own, but would love to pick up more families through the agency, maybe even work a consistent part time schedule to go along with her school schedule. She is very active - loves sports, outdoor activities, and crafting! Her references speak highly of her professional and happy demeanor - as one family put it, "we feel blessed to have had her work for us!"
Jessica is finishing up an assistant teaching position and is looking for a part time position that will coincide with her class schedule, since she is going back to school in the Fall to get her Masters! Not only does she have classroom experience, but plenty of babysitting and summer nannying experience. Her charges have spanned every age range. In addition, she has cared for multiples and kids with special needs experience such as autism and ADHD.
