Elisha is a new graduate with a Psychology degree. The studying doesn't stop because she was just accepted into a special 1-year program to gain special training to work with autistic children. Her plan is to eventually get her masters in Occupational Therapy. She has extensive babysitting experience with children of all ages, including multiples. She also has a variety of volunteer experience with reading programs, visiting and engaging patients at a local hospital, fundraising and outreach to aide domestic abuse victims, and helping rebuild in New Orleans Summer 2009. She was also very active in her college's drama department. And if this nanny has not been active enough, she also studied abroad in Jerusalem! This nanny's efforts to care for others and learn are endless and would be a great role model.
Elsa has 10 years of childcare experience. She is originally from the Republic of Georgia (came to the US in 1991). In her country, she went to college for Producing/TV and Radio Journalism. When she came to the US she began teaching language at UPenn's Language Center and also worked as an Administrative Assistant. She has actually worked for TPNN families in the past. She comes highly recommended. She recently had a full time schedule by fitting 3 different part time jobs together. Her experience ranges from newborn and up, including twin experience. She is noted for her enthusiasm, her "love of life," says one reference. She shares it with the children, makes everything fun and is truly happy to be with children, say her references. They also say she is incredibly active and treats the children as if they are her own. Two of her three currently employers are putting their children in school and she really needs to work full time. She loves to take her charges on outings, play dates, story time and all sorts of activities-she just loves to interact with them. She also loves to share her love of hiking and reading with her charges.
Debra's current position is ending because the children are all going to school. She has been a professional nanny for the past 5 years with children ages 1 year and up. Her families love the values they teach their children while always having fun! She is said to be patient and accommodating. Originally from Morocco, Debra came to the US in 2003. She is CPR-certified, an excellent swimmer, a great driving record and fluent in French.
Lena just finished a 2-year position that started when the children were a newborn and preschooler. Now youngest child is going to preschool as well and Lena is looking for a new position, and hopes to work 20-35 hours per week. She is originally from Poland where she earned a degrees in Philosophy and Library Science. She came to the US in 2006 as an au pair to improve her English and worked with a newborn. She decided to stay and her references are glad she did! They say she is smart, attentive and responsible.
Nadia came to the agency with extensive babysitting and daycare experience. She has since worked part time (30 hours) for a TPNN family, who absolutely loved her and highly recommend her. She has also held longer term temporary positions with full time hours. She would love to acquire a full time position with a family and has experience with children ages infant and up. She would also be open to working for two families with part time schedules that complement one another. Nadia has her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and has significant coursework completed toward a Bachelors. Her references comment on her natural ability to relate to children, how calm yet outgoing and fun she is, as well as her reliability.
Eleanor is a highly recommended and experienced nanny (over 20 years). Her current employer's children are getting older, so her schedule has been reduced to part time. She wishes to stay with her current employer and add a new family to her schedule. Eleanor is very experienced with newborn care, and often stays as the children grow! Her references say she is excellent with babies and bonds with them immediately. She even made homemade baby food for her last family! As the children get older, she is a pro at coordinating everyone's schedules and keeping everyone active. They say she has a great personality, stays calm yet is outgoing and friendly. She has some experience with special needs children as well.
"Doris never gets flustered," said the mom of a toddler and 5-year-old triplets that Doris worked for for a year. Patience was definitely this reference's favorite quality, but she mentioned many more including creativity, eagerness to help and her dependability. These qualities have enabled her to work with children infant through 12 years of age, and all her references spoke highly of her. She loves working with children and wants nannying to be her career. Doris is a great driver, great swimmer and is willing to do overnights. She is willing to do household duties like laundry or light housekeeping - whatever it takes to maintain the children's environment.
Vicky seeks part time work doing childcare while she begins taking courses towards her Masters in Psychology. She is going to be taking prerequisites online so it should not interfere with a family's schedule. She especially wants to work with special needs children someday and already has experience doing so through babysitting as well as an internship with an autism school. Her references note that she is not only articulate and intelligent, but is fun-loving and energetic! A few other tidbits - she studied abroad in Italy and studied language for a summer in Mexico. Ask her about her trip to Africa and her experience immersing herself in the local culture!
Kate's love for working with children began when she worked in her mother's daycare center in her youth and early adulthood. Eventually Kate took her creative passion to the next level - she has done freelance graphic design, videography and now runs her own small art gallery. On the side she has fostered her love of music by learning many instruments: piano, woodwind and brass instruments as well as African drums. During her entire career she has never stopped working with children - she has given art and music lessons, mentored students with study skills and even gave her time to some children in a 'buddy' capacity (playing games, etc., and this nanny plays a mean game of Scrabble!). Kate would love to completely immerse herself in childcare again, preferably full time, or she could continue to operate her small art gallery in conjunction with a part time nanny job. Look for Kate to bring her goody bag of art supplies and musical instruments for her charges to explore. Can't wait to meet her? Give us a call!
Sky became a nanny in the late 80's and worked for her first family for 13 years. One of the things Sky's references love about her is that she raised 4 children of her own (grown) so they feel there is nothing she can't handle. One of her references with 5 kids herself said "there was nothing that overwhelmed or upset her and there was nothing the kids could throw at her that she hasn't seen before." Aside from her experience, Sky is known for her energetic, fun personality. Sky is a career nanny and sees doing this for the next 10+ years. Her last employer was laid off so Sky is able to start a position ASAP.
Nicole is a career nanny since the late 90s. She worked for her last family for 8 years until the children were in school full time. Nicole is eager to find her next full time position. She is loved by her employers not only because of her skill as a childcare provider but because of her kind nature and the initiative she takes. Nicole is certainly one to go the extra mile whether it be housekeeping or researching age-appropriate activities to do with the children and creating a calendar! Nicole is known for her flexibility, which has helped several of her family's when they've been running late or just needed an extra evening or weekend day here or there. One parent said their favorite thing about Nicole is how much their children love her - her daughter always ran to the window when Nicole left for the day, blowing her kisses!
Steph just moved to the area from MA so she could be closer to friends and family now that college has ended. Though she is looking for her first full time position as a nanny, she is far from inexperienced. She has worked afterschool hours in a daycare for two years while in high school. After graduating high school she worked as a part time afterschool nanny for a private family, and worked full time for them during the summer. She worked full time while taking college courses at a daycare center. One of her greatest qualities as a caregiver is her creativity - no matter what activity she is doing with children, indoors or outdoors, she finds an educational component while having fun. She can't wait to work with her first full time family.
Trina has been a Nanny for over 10 years and the secret to her success has largely been her loving attitude with which she cares for her charges. Her references not only appreciate her loving personality but also feel at ease because of the confidence she exudes, stemming from her experience. Trina has worked with children of all ages. The children in her current position are in school full time so she is now looking for a new full time position.
